The House of Light
Chicago, Illinois
1983
The design for this project arose from a conversation between Larry Booth and the art-historian client on the Renaissance. After realizing their shared love of Andrea Palladio’s villas, they focused on a design following classical principles. While modern in its appearance, the design translates Palladio’s harmonious spatial logic into the form of a classic Chicago townhouse.
Wallpaper Magazine featured a retrospective on the project in 2024.
