Booth Hansen and 58 East Oak LLC are collaborating on the redevelopment of the Gold Coast’s Esquire Theater.  To reinforce the Oak Street streetscape, boutique retail will be added; floors will be raised to match current sidewalk level. Additional retail and commercial tenants will be housed on the second and third floors inside the curved brick wall.  A new landscaped terrace highlights the second floor; the vertical “Esquire” sign remains.  Construction is expected to begin in fall 2011.
