BOOTH HANSEN WINS GRAND AWARD AT 2016 GOLD NUGGET AWARDS

BOOTH HANSEN WINS GRAND AWARD AT 2016 GOLD NUGGET AWARDS

The Palm Springs House was the coveted Grand Award winner for Best Custom Home (4,000 to 8,000 square feet) at the 2016 Gold Nugget Awards. The Gold Nugget Awards honor architectural design and planning excellence and draws from entries internationally.
The judges praised the home, calling it “a minimalist design with impeccable detailing [making] the house recede into the landscape… the careful curation of views makes this hillside retreat a delight that gives the clients access the natural environment from the comfort of their own home.”
Congratulations to the Booth Hansen design team and D.W. Johnston Construction on this achievement.

SKOKIE COUNTRY CLUB OPENING

SKOKIE COUNTRY CLUB OPENING

Booth Hansen’s addition to the Skokie Country Club opened on Memorial Day Weekend!
The complex consists of a bathing house, an open-air pavilion, an expansive deck with an Olympic-length pool, and separate areas for children and adults. The architectural style evokes residences in the area, lending a familiarity and human scale to the site. Lush landscapes and plantings surround the deck, buffering views to the street and the adjacent golf course. Amenities including a state-of-the-art kitchen and double-sided limestone fireplace allow for three-season use.
The design and construction team includes Innovative Aquatic Design, Kettelkamp & Kettelkamp Landscape Architecture, TriMark Marlinn, Eskenazi and Farrell Associates, Ketchmark and Associates, Gewalt Hamilton Associates, NCS Construction Management, and Norcon, Inc.

PALM SPRINGS RESIDENCE FEATURED IN THE WSJ

PALM SPRINGS RESIDENCE FEATURED IN THE WSJ

Our Palm Springs Residence was just featured in the Wall Street Journal!
This Booth Hansen designed four-bedroom Contemporary was completed last summer.  The owner, Linda Usher, requested that the vacation home accommodate a 42-foot-long painting. With this in mind, Booth Hansen designed a home with large open spaces and unobstructed views of the San Jacinto Mountains and Coachella Valley.
