The Booth Hansen designed Arts and Recreation Center at Ellis Park, located at 35th and Cottage Grove Avenue, opened to the public today.

The 32,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility provides the community with arts and recreational programming, as well as athletic facilities. Operated by the Chicago Park District, the Arts and Recreation Center provides after-school and summer youth programming, family activities, arts and cultural offerings, health and wellness programming, and community events for residents of all ages. Spaces include an indoor pool, gymnasium, fitness center, multi-purpose arts and community areas, rooftop terrace, and administrative offices.

We are proud to have worked with the City of Chicago, the Chicago Park District, 4th Ward Aldermen, Quad Communities Development Corporation, The Community Builders, and Nia Architects to make this project a reality for the community.
